The latest forecast for Northeast & North Central Vermont including Caledonia, Orleans, Essex, and Orange Counties.

An absolutely beautiful stretch of weather will continue through the upcoming weekend with only a few minor weather features to talk about over the course of the next 48 hours. Abundant sunshine early today will gradually give way to an increase in thin, upper level clouds. These clouds signal a weak backdoor cold front that is set to arrive tonight. This will only serve to knock temperatures back about 5-10 degrees cooler on Thursday. By Thursday night a ridge will be building across the eastern United States, and warmer weather will be flowing into the region on SW winds. In fact on Friday, temperatures will almost certainly surpass the 60 degree mark in most places. Don't take this weather pattern for granted,as a return to colder weather is slated to return early next week.
