Student Club
One of the unique aspects of Lyndon Atmospheric Sciences is the quality of our student club. It is a sanctioned chapter of both the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA). It is very active on campus, within the community, and regionally. Their hallmark event is the Northeastern Storm Conference, the largest and longest running professional conference in the nation that is organized by students. The club has been recognized for the past decade by the AMS and by the NWA by receiving Chapter of the Year awards from both organizations. The club also provides social benefits and academic support to its members. Incoming freshmen have an instant support network of friends when joining the club. |
