Vermont Institute of Applied Meteorology

The Vermont Institute of Applied Meteorology at Lyndon State College was created in 2006 to provide quality experiential learning opportunities for our students. Whether students are issuing road weather forecasts for the State of Vermont or researching the precursor conditions to major U.S. cold air outbreaks, our students and faculty are engaged in solving applied scientific problems.

Vermont Institute of Applied Meteorology offers paid internships that put students in highly accountable situations where they conduct independent research, construct their own weather forecasts, or communicate complex information to clients.
